DESCRIPTION:Cornerstone Quarterly Luncheon & Business Expo \n\n\n\nJoin us October 10th for our Cornerstone Quarterly Luncheon. Dr. Devin Padavil\, Superintendent of Georgetown ISD\, will speak on leading education in one of the fastest growing communities.\n\n\n\nTopic: Leading Education in the Fastest Growing Community\n\nSpeaker: Dr. Devin Padavil\, GISD Superintendent \n\n \n\nDr. Padavil was selected over the summer as the finalist for the GISD Superintendent position. Dr. Padavil previously served as the superintendent for Taylor ISD. An educator for 22 years\, Dr. Padavil has also served as Area Superintendent in Leander ISD and Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Schools in Fort Bend ISD where he supervised 26 middle schools and high schools. He has also served as the Principal that opened 5A Lebanon Trail High School (Frisco ISD)\, Principal of 6A Hendrickson High School (Pflugerville ISD)\, Kelly Lane Middle School (Pflugerville ISD)\, and in 2015\, he was honored to be named Region XIII High School Principal of the Year after leading Hendrickson to its first appearance in U.S. News and World Report's Best High Schools.\n\n\n\nHe began his educational career as a middle school English teacher and was recognized as Campus Teacher of the Year in 2001.\n\n\n\nDr. Padavil holds a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Education from Illinois State University\, a Master of Education in Administration from the University of Texas   Austin\, and a Doctor of Education from The University of Texas   Austin.  \n\n\n\nSponsored By: A+ Federal Credit Union\n\n\n\n \n\nSchedule of Events:\n\n11:00 AM   Exhibitor Tables\n\n11:45 AM   Luncheon\n\n1:00 PM - Event Ends\n\n \n\nCatering Provided By: Branded Ash Grazing Co.\n\n\n\nThe four cornerstones of a Chamber of Excellence are Healthcare\, Public Safety\, Economic Development\, and Education.
