2020.8 '20-'21 Adopt-A-Georgetown ISD Teacher

The beginning of this school year has been a mix of excitement, apprehension, and unknowns. Our teachers, many of whom are also parents, face unimaginable challenges as they venture into uncharted territory. They continue this journey of uncertainty because they are driven by their passion and love for teaching and shaping the lives of our children. Now more than ever, they need to know that we value, respect, and appreciate them for their dedication and flexibility. As an outreach, St. John's United Methodist Church in Georgetown is creating this group so that members of the community -- parents, grandparents, families, friends, former students, businesses -- can "ADOPT” a teacher for the year. There are no specific requirements for the type or amount of encouragement given throughout this school year. All forms, we are sure, would be welcome: notes, gifts, supplies, etc.
