The mission of the GHA is to improve the quality of healthcare in our community by fostering collaboration between local service providers, building consumer trusts, increasing awareness, and providing educational resources.
This event is designed to further collaboration through networking and peer discussions and provides an educational keynote presentation focused on healthcare employee mental health.
Many sources, such as the National Safety Council (NSA) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), agree that the effects of COVID on the wellbeing of the workforce may linger long after COVID vaccinations are given.
Preparing ahead of time in the workplace to address topics such as employee mental health and wellbeing can give a company the opportunity to work upstream on any potential workforce issues as a result of the pandemic. Knowing how to help employees deal with depression, stress, anxiety, substance abuse and other mental health conditions can have a positive impact on productivity, absenteeism and retention.
