Georgetown’s New Inclusive School Launches Annual “Get Hiked!” Event to Support Local Children

GEORGETOWN, TX — Forbes Academy, Georgetown’s new inclusive Montessori school, is thrilled to announce the launch of its inaugural Get Hiked with Forbes! Event, a family-friendly outdoor fundraiser happening on May 17, 2025, at Berry Springs Park & Preserve.

Set along the scenic community trails, the event is designed to bring families, educators, and supporters together to enjoy a day of mindfulness, movement, and meaningful connection, all in support of building a school where every child belongs.

What Is Forbes Academy?

Expected to open in 2025, Forbes Academy is an independent Toddler–Grade 6 Montessori day school focused on creating an innovative and inclusive environment for students of all learning styles. The school’s mission is to nurture the mind and heart of every child, cultivating confident, creative, and self-motivated learners with an inclusive spirit and a love for culture, curiosity, and community.

• A chance to connect with other families and learn more about Forbes Academy’s mission

All proceeds will support the launch of Forbes Academy, including securing a permanent school location, developing curriculum, and supporting scholarships and learning resources.
